A Boil Water Advisory for some some water customers in the City of Clarkesville has now been lifted.

The advisory was issued earlier this week following the installation of a new water tie-in.

The City of Clarkesville has announced that services has been restored for customers on Ga. 115, Rennie Hames Road and areas off those roads.

The city announced the outage was occurring due to a new water line tie-in.

A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for all water customers affected by Wednesday’s outage.

Clarkesville water customers who live in the area affected by new line construction recently should bring all water to be used for consumption to a rolling boil for at least two minutes before use for cooking, baby food preparation, or consumption until further notice.
