Phone service restored to Hall County Sheriff's Office

Posted 3:55PM on Friday 9th October 2020 ( 3 years ago )

The Hall County Sheriff's Office phone lines have been restored to regular service Friday afternoon after a ransomware attack earlier this week took out service for most of the Hall County government.

The announcement was made on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page. It said Hall County Government continues to work through the network outage.

The 911 and Central Communications Center remains operation and deputies are responding as usual. 911 is still available for emergencies, and non-emergency calls can be made to 770-536-8812.

The agency encouraged anyone needing routine administrative services at the government center to call ahead before visiting, including the sheriff's office.

Phone numbers for varying departments can be found online.
