Construction activity continues for I-85 widening project

Construction activity for the I-85 widening project will require lane closures this week along the corridor in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
 
Beginning tonight through Friday night, bridge construction operations at the Flowery Branch Road overpass will necessitate double-lane closures along I-85 in both directions between SR 211 in Barrow County and Spout Springs Road in Gwinnett County. A single-lane closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a double-lane closure being in place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday night. On Friday night a single-lane closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a double-lane closure in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
 
Bridge construction operations at the Jesse Cronic Road overpass will necessitate single-lane closures along I-85 in both directions between SR 211 and SR 53 in Jackson County through Friday night. Work will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights, and from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday night.
 
Traffic pacing operations will occur nightly through Friday night in both directions between Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett County a SR 211 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
