Police identify youngster found at Gainesville Walmart

Gainesville Police Department investigators said they have identified a child who apparently was dropped off at the Walmart store on Shallowford Road Sunday morning. They did not release the boy's name in a social media post, nor did they release details of the investigation.

Gainesville Police need the public's help in identifying a young boy found at the Walmart on Shallowford Road Sunday morning.

"On January 26, 2020 at around 11:30am officers were called to the Walmart at 400 Shallowford Road, Gainesville, GA in regards to a child being located within the store," spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email. "The child is possibly 3 years of age and may go by the name Brandon."

Holbrook added "His father is possibly named Alejandro. He was possibly dropped off by a Hispanic male driving a white Ford cargo van."

The police department is asking anyone who might have any information about the case to call Hall County Dispatch at 770-534-5251.
