*A scam fishing and hunting license website has been detected by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division. This site appears to be active in both North Georgia and on the coast. DNR says the only legitimate place to purchase a hunting and fishing license online in Georgia is at www.gooutdoorsgeorgia.com.
*Nikki Chandler has been named the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce's Vice President of Existing Industry. She is a lifelong resident of Hall County who worked more than a decade in the poultry industry, starting as a payroll clerk and working her way up to managerial positions.
*A retirement ceremony will be held Jan. 28 at 3:00 for Sharon Hall, who has been a Poll Official with the Dawson County Board of Elections for 44 years. The ceremony will be held at the Board of Elections Office in Dawsonville.
*Gail Hogan, the Outreach Youth Services Librarian for the Hall County Library System, has been nominated for the “I Love my Librarian” national award.
