People from all over the world will descend on Atlanta next week for the International Production & Processing Expo, billed as the world's largest annual poultry, meat, and feed industry event of its kind.
Known to longtime residents of North Georgia simply as the Atlanta poultry expo, the event is now a collaboration of three shows - International Feed Expo, International Meat Expo, and the International Poultry Expo - showcasing the latest technology, equipment, supplies, and services used in the production and processing of eggs, meat and poultry, and those involved in animal food manufacturing.
Last year's IPPE featured visitors from more than 131 countries. The largest group from a single country outside the U.S. was Canada. The largest region represented was the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and South America. The event is sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association, North American Meat Institute, and the Georgia -based U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
There will be more than 1,350 exhibitors this year, many from the poultry industry in Gainesville and other parts of Northeast Georgia, showcasing the latest technology and innovations from around the world. View the list of exhibitors or search by product category here.
The Expo will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center Jan. 28-30.
