A man from Saint Albans, New York, has been identified as the person killed Sunday morning on Interstate 85 in Franklin County.
Jonathan J. Morgan, 24, was driving a Toyota Sequoia northbound near Exit 173 when he ran off the right shoulder of the road and the SUV struck the guardrail, said Sgt. D.O. Saddler of the Georgia State Patrol post in Hartwell.
The Toyota rotated clockwise and struck the bridge support with its driver side after traveling 188 feet, Saddler said. It was the only vehicle involved in the accident, which happened around 8 a.m.
