Swimming: North Hall sweeps Hall County Championships

GAINESVILLE — The North Hall boys and girls swim teams captured a sweep of the Hall County Championships on Saturday at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center. 

The Trojans won first place male, female and combined titles in the event. Cherokee Bluff was second overall and Riverside came home in third place. 

North Hall senior Julia Kelly led the girls team with gold in both individual and relay races. She also set the record in the 100-yard backstroke. Kelly now owns five Hall County records as well as all the North Hall High School individual swim records.

Meanwhile, senior Will Crumpton grabbled gold in two individual events and led the 400-yard free relay team to a new Hall County record of 3:23.30.
