The Gainesville Department of Water Resources plans to close East Avenue – between Jesse Jewell Parkway and Parker Street – from Wednesday, Jan. 15, to Thursday, Jan. 16, for water line maintenance.
Motorists navigating the area are urged to drive carefully and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time. The public should also expect the city to reclose this same roadway sometime next week.
According to city officials, specifics will be announced at a later time. All dates and locations are weather-permitting and subject to change.
