Chase Elliott was determined to make it to victory lane on Sunday on Charlotte Motor Speedway's infield road course, and he wasn't going to let a little thing like missing a turn and hitting a tire barrier stop him.

On this week's edition of the Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson review Sunday's Bank of Amerca 400 and the first cutoff race of the NASCAR Cup Playoffs, including:

-Chase Elliott came back from an off-track excursion to pass Kevin Harvick with five laps to go.  From there, he drove to his third victory of the season.

-With Sunday's event being a cutoff race, four drivers found themselves out of the Playoffs at the end of the day.

-Kyle Busch had another bad day.  It appears to be a trend for Captain Grumpy.

-The only thing that could be expected in Sunday's race on the Charlotte infield road course was the unexpected.
