The Georgia DOT announced this month the widening and reconstruction of Spout Springs Road was awarded to G.P.’s Enterprises.
This project was advertised in June 2019. A required USACE permit was recently approved allowing the project to be officially awarded.
The construction contract represents a $31 million investment in infrastructure improvements for Hall County.
This project begins at Union Circle and continues to Interstate 985, spanning 3.57 miles.
This project has a 760-day completion timeline and construction activities could begin in the next 60 days.
Once construction activities are underway single lane closures are allowed as follows:
Monday –Thursday
Daytime 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. evening/overnight 7 p.m.-6 a.m.
Friday
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. evening/overnight 8 p.m.-9 a.m.
Saturday
8 p.m.-9 a.m. Sunday
Sunday
7 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday
Work on the roadway near the high, middle, and elementary schools will be limited to 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.
