RABBITTOWN — Abigail Brown had three hits and drove in four runs to lead Class 3A No. 3 East Hall to a 9-2 win over Lumpkin County Thursday in a key Region 7-3A contest between the top two teams in the region.
East Hall (15-3, 9-0 Region 7-3A) came in just 1 1/2 games ahead of the Lady Indians (12-8, 6-2) but never let Lumpkin County get control.
Brown's two-run double in the first set the tone and Macy Banks took it from there in the circle. Ansley Ivey belted a home run in the second and Callie Dale helped seal the win with a two-run in a four-run sixth inning for East Hall.
Banks allowed four hits and two runs in a complete-game effort. She also struck out 10 and walked just one.
