A Liliburn man wanted in the knife point rape of his estranged wife last week has turned himself in to Gwinnett County authorities.

Eugenio German, 40, turned himself in at the Gwinnett County Detention Center on Saturday, according to an update from the Gwinnett County Police Department. He remains in custody without bond.

As previously reported, German reportedly choked and raped his estranged wife at knife point on September 1, then hit her car with his car as she tried to escape the residence on Centerpoint Drive in Duluth.

German faces aggravated assault by strangulation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, rape, false imprisonment, and family violence battery.

German is from the Dominican Republic, according to police, and he and his wife had been married for less than a year and were living in separate residences.
