The Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a shooting at Dave and Buster's in Lawrenceville Saturday night where one teen was injured.

According to Cpl. David Smith, officers arrived on scene at approximately 9 p.m. outside of the Dave and Buster’s located inside the Sugarloaf Mills Mall at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway.

"Officers responded to find a male suffering a from a single gunshot wound in the parking lot," Smith said. "The male, identified as 19 year old Aaron Autrey Jr., was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury and expected to survive."

Detectives learned upon arriving at the scene that the victim and friends were inside the mall when they had an altercation with another group.

"The altercation continued into the parking lot where the suspect group fired shots towards the victim and friends. Autrey was the only gunshot victim," Smith said. "Detectives are working to develop leads and believe the incident was isolated."
