A Barrow County man is sentenced Monday to life in prison plus ten years in the murder of his neighbor in August of 2017.
Auburn Police told the AJC Larry Bates confessed to shooting Paul Allen Wilson during an ongoing dispute over Wilson's dog using the bathroom in his yard on Crest Pointe Drive.
Police say a month prior to the shooting, Wilson reported being gunned down by Bates in the early morning hours while walking his dog.
Bates was convicted of animal cruelty and murder.
