An open house will be held in Flowery Branch later this week seeking public comment on a proposed mixed-use project.

The meeting, hosted by the developer, Woodfield Development, will be held at City Hall Aug. 28 at 6:00.

According to a notice from Flowery Branch officials, it will be "a chance for interested parties to meet representatives of Woodfield to discuss the proposed project," which is slated for construction at 4496 Hog Mountain Road.

Earlier this month, the Flowery Branch City Council postponed a vote on a rezoning request for the development, which would include a 334-unit apartment complex near Flowery Branch High School.  It is now scheduled to be considered Sept. 5.
