Sunshine Music House, Inc., a Hall County non-profit, recently awarded scholarships of $1,000 to the top academic band graduates from the high schools in the Hall County School System.

“We believe that music helps create a brighter future for students and the world,” said Sunshine Music House director Lamon Warnock.

This is the first year of the program and scholarships were provided to Ward Davis, Flowery Branch High School; Martha Dominguez, East Hall High School; Cuong Tran, Chestatee High School; Joshua Garcia, Cherokee Bluff High School; Enye Lee, West Hall High School; and, Susan Snelling, North Hall High School.

“We are delighted with Sunshine Music House’s mission. The scholarship to Martha Dominguez helps a wonderful musician and scholar as she plans to attend Georgia Tech this fall,” according to East Hall Band Director Adam Youngman. “In addition to graduates, Sunshine (helped) send our drum majors to UGA this summer for training.”

Sunshine Music House also assisted several schools with summer camp costs and has set aside funds to help with student band fees in the fall.
