Athens Clarke County police have arrested a 19-year-old man on terroristic threat charges after he made a comment on a video game chat forum threatening violence to a school.
According to information posted on the ACCPD Facebook page, detectives arrested Kevin Sorrells of Athens on Tuesday, August 6.
Sorrells allegedly made a comment on a video game chat forum that he was going to blow up a school and use firearms to shoot up a school. Detectives said Sorrells did not mention a specific school in his comments.
ACCPD also searched Sorrells' residence, but detectives said they found no evidence of an imminent threat at the home.
