Suspect on the run after armed hold-up at Braselton hotel

An armed suspect robbed the Best Western Braselton Inn on Monday, July 15 and authorities are asking the public for some help as they look for the man. 

Investigators said the hold-up happened around 3:35 p.m.

The suspect entered the hotel at 303 Zion Church Road and "committed an armed robbery," according to a press statement from the Braselton Police Department.

Investigators said the suspect was armed with a handgun that could be a Tec 22 with a clear magazine. 

The suspect is described as a black male , between 5'10" and 6' tall, weighing about 250 lbs. The suspect left the scene in a gold or tan four-door passenger vehicle traveling east on Highway 124. Police said the vehicles rear passenger door window has a piece of black plastic covering the window; all the other windows are tinted.

Braselton Police Department investigators released surveillance photos from Monday afternoon's armed robbery. The weapon pictured may be similar to the one used in the crime.
