Flowery Branch Police have released pictures of a suspect in a counterfeit bills case in hopes someone will recognize him.

"The suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit $100.00 bill at Publix in Flowery Branch and did pass another counterfeit $100.00 bill at Firehouse Subs in Flowery Branch, Georgia," according to a posting on the police department's Facebook page.

The bills were not your typical counterfeit bills.

"The bills appear to be washed out $20.00 bills with $100.00 emblems on the corners," the posting reads.  "The currency is genuine currency paper and will not be detected if using pen detector. Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is asked to contact: Investigator Robin Kemp - Flowery Branch Police Department, phone: 770-967-6336."
