Over the next few months, motorists will begin seeing activity at the intersection of Brown's Bridge Road (SR 369) and Georgia 400 as preliminary work begins on the widening of SR 369 and updating the intersection.

This will include clearing the area, along with the removal of underground storage tanks.

Funding for this project comes from the state Department of Transportation and the Forsyth County Transportation Bond approved by voters in 2014.

The work will include widening SR 369 from an existing two-lane roadway from just west of SR 9 to slightly east of SR 306. The project will also upgrade the existing at-grade signalized intersection of SR 400 and SR 369 to a grade-separated, partial cloverleaf interchange.

Updated information on all county transportation projects can be found through the Interactive Transportation Projects Map on the county’s website: www.forsythco.com.
