As the Hall County Sheriff's Office continues the investigation into Sunday night's shooting death of Deputy Nicolas Blane Dixon, detectives also are looking into other crimes that allegedly occurred at the hands of the teenagers who have been charged with Dixon's death.
The sheriff's office released booking photos Tuesday afternoon for Brayan Omar Cruz, London Clements and Eric Edgardo Velazquez. Each suspect is charged with party to a crime, felony murder in the death of Deputy Dixon.
The alleged trigger man, Hector Garcia-Solis, remains hospitalized with gunshot wounds suffered in the shootout with officers Sunday night on Highland Avenue off Jesse Jewell Parkway. Garcia-Solis is expected to recover from his wounds. He faces a charge of felony murder.
All four suspects are 17-years-old.
Cruz was arrested several hours after the initial incident, hiding under a house in the area where the shooting happened. Clements was arrested Monday afternoon at his residence on Cresthill Drive in Flowery Branch and Velazquez was arrested at a residence off U.S. 129 in the north Hall area.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office confirmed Garcia-Solis was arrested on June 27 and had just been released from jail on July 2. He had been charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, possession of an open container, striking a fixed object and felony obstruction of an officer.
The night of the shooting, the suspects were driving a suspected stolen vehicle and they were believed to have been involved in a series of burglaries and entering auto incidents that occurred through the weekend. One of those incidents involved a pawn shop burglary where some firearms were stolen.
Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch told WDUN's Morning Talk with Martha Zoller on Tuesday the four suspects had a history of criminal activity. Couch also said it is possible the charges levied against the teens could come under Georgia's gang statute.
