A 24-year-old Maysville man remains on the run following a child abuse incident reported last month.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office recently issued photos of Justin Michael Taylor after taking out warrants for aggravated assault, aggravated battery and cruelty to children in the first degree.

Taylor is accused of physically abusing a 1-year-old that had been left in his care on June 29, 2019.

The investigator in the case, Charlie Timms, said the baby has been placed in body cast from the waist down because of the severity of the injuries.

Sheriff Janis Mangum said Taylor may be driving a silver Pontiac G6.

"We have followed up on several leads here in the county," Mangum wrote in an email.  "[We are] not sure if he is still in the area and hiding out or has left the area. When we find him, and if someone has been hiding him out, they will be arrested."

Anyone who might have information on Taylor's whereabouts is asked to call Investigator Charlie Timms at 706-367-8718 or contact him via email at [email protected]. Anyone with a tip may also call 911.

These photos of Justin Michael Taylor are from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
