Deputies release dramatic video of car chase in Forsyth County

Forsyth County deputies released dramatic footage of a car chase from Saturday of last week that left one man facing a laundry list of charges and the vehicle totaled.

A witness called dispatch about a suspected drunk driver on Hwy. 369 and a social media post says Deputy Coggins initiated a traffic stop.

Santiago Ortiz Catala led deputies on a chase down Hwy. 306 and flipped his SUV on Hwy. 9.

Catala ran into the wood line, but was tracked down by a K-9 unit.

Deputies arrested him and charged him with the following crimes:
-Possession Of A Firearm During the commission of a felony
-Drug Related Objects
-Possession of a Schedule I
-Obstruction
-Theft by receiving stolen property
-Fleeing/Eluding
-Failure to maintain lane (FTML)
-DUI
-Altering Serial # of firearm
-Possession of firearm by convicted felon
-Reckless driving
and several warrants.
