Gwinnett County police say they've identified two suspects in the fatal shooting case of a Buford teenager.

Sgt. Jake Smith says Savion Dillard, 20, of Jonesboro and Denzel Wilburn, 21, of Buford drove to the Thompson Mill Road area behind a gas station with the intention of robbing the teenage victim and the witness, who officers say were selling marijuana.

Investigators believe Dillard actually fired the fatal shot that killed Branden Gerena, 15, of Buford while Wilburn drove the vehicle.

Officers arrested Denzel Wilburn without incident and charged him with armed robbery and possession of marijuana.

Warrants have been obtained for the arrest of Dillard for felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Anyone with information about the location of Dillard should contact police at (770) 513-5300. You can also remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
