A Savannah man was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center after he was struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning on SR 11/US 129 near I-85 in Jackson County.
Investigating troopers with Georgia State Patrol Post 32 said Matthew Hann, 37, was trying to cross the highway on foot around 5:20 a.m. when he was hit by a 2007 Honda Civic. Hann was in the middle of the northbound lanes when he was hit.
Troopers decribed Hann's injuries as non-life threatening.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Cesar Vasquez, 27, of Gainesville. Vasquez was not injured.
GSP said Hann will not be cited for walking in the roadway.
