BRASELTON — North Hall standout girls golfer Mikayla Dubnik finished second in the Georgia PGA Junior Championship held at The Legends at Chateau Elan.
Dubnik shot a 226 (10-over par) carding scores of a 77, 75 and 74 in the three-day tournament.
With the second place showing, Dubnik qualified for the 44th Girls Junior PGA Championship to be held at Keney Park Golf Course in Hartford, Connecticut on July 9-12.
Dubnk has has a solid past month. After finishing second in the GHSA Class 3A state championship in Elberton last month, Dubnik won the UGA Golf Course Junior Classic sponsored by the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour. Dubnik shot a 148 (4-over) in the two-day tournament held at University of Georgia golf course.
Dubnik has two wins in SJGT this season. She also won the Chattahoochee Junior Classic on May 11 and 12 at Chattahoochee Golf Course in Gainesville.
