An 8-year-old child was airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta-Egleston after being bitten by a dog in South Hall County Monday afternoon.
Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett confirmed the child was bitten at a home on South Chase Drive. The Hall County Sheriff's Office and Hall County Animal Control also responded to the incident.
David Jones, Assistant Director for Hall County Animal Control, said in a Tuesday morning email that the dog had been quarantined. He declined further comment citing an investigation.
The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m.
The identity and the condition of the child has not yet been released.
