Georgia motorists continue to see gasoline prices drop, according to weekly reports from both AAA-The Auto Club South and GasBuddy.com.
AAA's weekly fuel price report for Sunday, June 9 said the state average is $2.51 per gallon, down from last Sunday's $2.57 per gallon. GasBuddy said its current statewide average is $2.45 per gallon, also down six cents from last week's average.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Georgia is priced at $2.16 per gallon while the most expensive is $3.05 per gallon, a difference of 89.0 cents per gallon. GasBuddy surveys more than 5,800 gas stations across the country each day to arrive at its reports.
AAA's county map showed the lowest average gas price in Dodge County in South Georgia, where prices at the pump are $2.28 per gallon. The most expensive is in Taliaferro County, where motorists are paying an average of $2.83 for gasoline.
Hall County's average price at the pump is $2.48, according to AAA.
