Gainesville woman among area residents named to state boards by Gov. Kemp

A Gainesville woman is one of five northeast Georgians recently named to state boards by Gov. Brian Kemp.

Kristin Morrissey of Cumming, a retired library worker who chairs the Forsyth County Board of Education, will fill a seat with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

Will Wade, a banker who is a life-long resident of Dawson County, is the newest member of the Georgia Student Finance Commission.

Amy Stowers of Gainesville, Manager of the University of Georgia Health Center's Vision Clinic, was named to the State Board of Dispensing Opticians.

Dr. Cristina Washell of Cleveland, an Associate Professor and the Coordinator for the Elementary and Special Education Program at the University of North Georgia, is the newest member of the Board of Early Care and Learning.

Robin Hardin of Statham is an audiologist.  She has been named to the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
