The planned upgrades to the state automobile title system have been made and Georgia D.R.I.V.E.S is up and running at your local tag office.
Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden said the new system gives customers more options when applying for or updating tags and titles.
"The enhancements to the system are so great, it really puts you in the driver's seat," said Eden. "You're gonna be able to do so much more from the comfort of your home or office and your smart phone that it is going to save you time when you do come into our office."
Eden said the Georgia Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (D.R.I.V.E.S.) goes a long way to streamline the process.
"We will be able to process your work even more efficiently," Eden said. "You will be able to go online and pre-apply for title and registration work, renewing, replacing and cancelling registrations and well as address changes. This system puts you in the driver's seat."
