Michael Morris and Paige Brown both took home Super Pro victories on Saturday as Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia hosted twin Summit ET Drag Racing Series events.
Morris, from Canton, Georgia, scored his first win in a couple of years in the first event, defeating Brad Howard from Gainesville, Georgia in the final.
In the final Morris dialed in a 5.14 and ran a 5.169 ET at 129.74 mph and a 0.003 reaction time. Howard dialed in a 4.73 and ran a 4.761 ET at 144.64 mph and a 0.061 reaction time.
Other first race winners included Ed Nalley in Pro, Gary Tomblin in Sportsman, and Jason Hofer in Super Pro Bike.
In the second race on the day, it was Paige Brown taking the Super Pro victory over Chris Kittle.
Brown, from, Conyers, Georgia, dialed in a 6.72 and ran a 6.719 ET, with both racers breaking out by 1/1000th of a second, at 101.22 mph and a 0.006 reaction time. Kittle dialed in a 4.86 and ran a 4.852 ET at 140.84 mph and a 0.021 reaction time.
Other race two winners included Eric Smith in Pro, Dickey Forrester in Sportsman and Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike.
