FLOWERY BRANCH — Maggie Wadsworth scored with just 7 minutes left in the match to lift the Flowery Branch girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over North Oconee Wednesday night.
Wadsworth may have sealed the second round Class 5A playoff victory for the Lady Falcons (16-3-1) but Mollie Langner got things started with a goal in the first half.
North Oconee tied the game in the second half and it looked destined for overtime until Wadsworth got the eventual game-winner.
The Lady Falcons will take on Woodward Academy, which routed Howard 6-1 on Wednesday, next week in the quarterfinals.

JOHNSON 0
A rough start for the Lady Knights turned into a season-ending loss in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs. It was the second straight year Johnson (10-9) was knocked out in the Sweet 16.
Early errors contributed to an own goal, a misplayed clearing attempt led to a goal, and then later Lady Trojans scored on a penalty kick.
Freshman Emi Kuhs tallied the Lady Knights' lone score with 16 minutes left in the second half.

Yost scored a pair of first-half goals in the first 36 minutes. She added her third midway through the second half.
