A 34-year-old Dawson County man was killed in a traffic accident Thursday night on Georgia 136. The wreck happened about 11:30 near Shamrock Lane in Dawson County.
The Georgia State Patrol's Curtis Bradshaw says Adam John Hain of Dawsonville was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from his car after it left the road in a curve and struck a mailbox and some trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the road was wet at the time and Hain was traveling too fast for conditions.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in the crash.
