PLAYOFF TENNIS: NHall girls and Buford boys headed back to state semifinals

The North Hall girls tennis team is headed back to the Class 3A semifinals.

The double duo of Ella Oxley and Lauren White clinched the match over Brantley County with the Lady Trojans' third win. It's the third-straight season the Lady Trojans have made the semifinals.

No. 1 singles Anna Montgomery and No. 2 singles Lauren Davis grabbed the other two wins for the North Hall. For the second time in three years, North Hall girls tennis has reached the final four. This year they got there with a win over Brantley County Thursday. 

North Hall will travel to Pace Academy next. Date and time to be announced.

 

BUFORD BOYS 3,
STATESBORO 1

The Buford boys tennis team advanced to the Class 5A semifinals for the third straight year with a 3-1 win over Statesboro at Buford City Park, Thursday.

Brady Todd (No. 1), Dean Kingsley (No. 2) and Luke Davidson (No. 3) swept the singles lines to seal the win. 

Statesboro picked up one doubles match.

The Wolves (18-4) will play at the winner of McIntosh and Chamblee Monday or Tuesday.  

The North Hall girls tennis team earned its third straight trip to the Class 3A semifinals.
