Personnel from the Hall County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service will visit North Hall Saturday to try to determine if a tornado struck that area Friday.

"We have completed several damage assessments throughout the area of Nopone Rd and Glade Farm Road," county EMA Director Casey Ramsey said late Friday afternoon.  "No major damage to homes but there are numerous trees down in the area.  Some properties had trees fall on personal vehicles.  The most notable damage was to the Dewberry Baptist Church property where a tree fell through their fellowship hall and the steeple was also damaged."

The inspectors plan to begin their work Saturday morning, according to Ramsey.  They'll be trying to determine if the damage, which occurred as severe thunderstorms moved through the area, was caused by a tornado or strong, gusty winds.
