The potential for stormy weather on Sunday across much of Georgia is increasing, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS updated the outlook Friday morning, noting on its Facebook page that "there is an increasing severe storm threat" for Sunday. The greatest threat is along and north of a line from Augusta to Macon to Americus and Columbus - and includes all of north Georgia and parts of the central part of the state. The threat is not as severe for the rest of Georgia.
Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat but "a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out," according to the posting.
