For the third time this week, law enforcement in Gwinnett County is investigating a traffic fatality; the latest happened Wednesday on Georgia (SR) 316 in Lawrenceville.
The Gwinnett Daily Post said the two vehicles were traveling east on SR 316 near Duluth Highway. The vehicles somehow made contact and one of the cars overturned. Police said the driver in the overturned vehicle died. His name has not been released.
The fatal crash happened just after 1 p.m. The road was closed for about three hours as the investigation was conducted.
Earlier this week, on Monday, a 24-year-old Duluth man was killed after he lost control of his vehicle on Old Norcross Road. Also on Monday, a pedestrian was killed as that person was trying to walk across Hwy. 120 at Riverside Parkway and was hit by a car.
