A Buford widow and her said to be boyfriend were convicted of the 2017 murder of the woman's husband.

Tia Young, 23 and Harvey Lee, 39, were found guilty Friday of gunning down George Young on the front porch of his home as he returned home from work.

Gwinnett Day Post reported that during the trial,  prosecutors theorized the two conspired the crime to cash in a $1-million dollar insurance policy.

They said Lee was an out of work guest in the Young home and shortly after he moved in, the two started an affair.

Investigators said the two became suspects in the death when there were inconsistencies in their accounts of the murder.

The two will be sentenced next Thursday in Gwinnett County Superior Court.
