HAMPTON, Ga. - The Furious Five series concluded Saturday afternoon with an action-packed set of Legends and Bandoleros racing on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s quarter-mile Thunder Ring.

In the Masters feature, Bill Plemons, Jr. and Robbie Woodall traded the lead back and forth throughout in the opening half of the race. Plemons prevailed, but had Woodall on his tail as the pair worked through lap traffic.

A caution with three laps to go set the scene for one final showdown between the two; Woodall hounded Plemons for all three laps, but couldn’t find a way around to the point. Plemons held on for the victory, followed by Woodall and Tony Armbruster in third.

Siblings Taylor and Jensen Jorgensen started the Pro feature off with a bang, making contact in turn 3 to bring out the caution. The duo had an impressive rebound, with Taylor Jorgensen making her way back up to 2nd and Jensen Jorgensen following right behind in third. However neither of them had enough to wrestle the lead away from Cody Hall, who led from flag-to-flag en route to victory.

Max Brady led early from the pole in the Semi-Pro feature, but Nick Woodall shot by on lap 4 to take over the top spot. For the remaining 15 laps Woodall, Brady, and Audrie Ruark mixed it up at the front of the field, with Woodall holding off several challenges for the top spot. Woodall held on for the final restart to secure the win over Brady and Ruark, who finished second and third, respectively.

For 20 laps of racing in the Young Lions feature, Austin MacDonald put on a clinic. MacDonald led from the green after setting a blistering pole speed and never let up, building a healthy lead and cruising to victory. Lucas Ruark came home in second followed by Michael Gannon in third.

Mason Maggio held the top spot for the first 11 laps of the Outlaws race, but a caution gave Kenny Brady an opportunity to take the lead away. Brady took full advantage, sweeping by Maggio on the restart and fending off a crossover attempt to keep the lead. Brady survived a late restart to win, followed by Maggio in second and Kelly Puckett in third.

While others found trouble early in the Bandits feature, it was smooth sailing for Garrett Gumm. Gumm earned the pole for the 20 lap feature and led every lap to the checkered flag. Gumm was followed by Bryson Matthews in second and Kyle Bacon in third.

The final laps of the Rookie Bandoleros feature saw a tight battle for the win between Baylor O’Neil and Sebastain Asztalos. Asztalos was within striking distance in the waning laps, but didn’t get the opening he needed to go around O’Neil, who held on to win.
