Forsyth County deputy died on the first day of training

A 29-year-old Forsyth County deputy died while on his first day of training at the Georgia Basic Training Center.
 
Public Information Officer DFC Jenny Belafi said Spencer Englett suffered a traumatic medical event and collapsed before being rushed to Piedmont Mountainside Medical Center.
 
Deputy Englett began working for Forsyth County May 1, 2017, and served the Baldwin County Sheriff's office before coming to Forsyth County.
 
Belafi said Englett recently married and called him, "...an exemplary deputy who served Forsyth County with distinction and honor".
