Clarkesville police seek help locating woman missing since March 5

CLARKESVILLE – Clarkesville Police Chief Brad Barrett said his officers hope the public can help them locate a woman reported missing since early March.

He identified the woman as Rebecca “Becca” Elaine Wood, 23.

“An initial report filed with this agency essentially indicates that the parents, friends and relatives of Rebecca Elaine Wood have not been able to make any type contact with her since the date of March 5,” a release from Barrett states. “The report further indicates that numerous attempts have been made by various friends and relatives via public service [telephone], text messaging, social media, etc. It is further reported, however, that all attempts have been to no avail. Both parents state that this is completely and out of character for Rebecca.”

Wood is described as a 5-foot-7 African American female weighing 140 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Wood was last seen in a tan 2005 Chevrolet sedan with a temporary Georgia tag of 58049685.

“The vehicle is reported as having moderate to extensive body damage to the front fender, headlight and hood area of the driver side,” according to Barrett.
