ROSWELL — The North Hall girls tennis team picked up its 14th win of the season Thursday night.
The Lady Trojans (14-3, 6-0) took down Class 4A Blessed Trinity, 4-1, at Horseshoe Bend Country Club in a non-region match.
Lauren Davis was the first to score a win for the Lady Trojans in a No. 2 singles battle. She won 7-5, 6-2. Baylee Turner followed with an 8-0 win.
In doubles action, Raquel Kallab and Sydney Patterson rallied after losing the first set 7-5. The duo won the next two, 7-6, 10-4, to take the match. Ella Oxley and Lauren White sealed the win with a 6-0, 6-1 straight set win.
North Hall tennis traveled to Horseshoe Bend to face 4A powerhouse Blessed Trinity Thursday. North Hall came away with a split.
"The win over Blessed Trinity is a marker that shows the team is still on the rise," North Hall coach Robert Woodworth said.
The North Hall boys fell to the Titans, 3-2.
"The North Hall boys didn’t fare as well but absolutely showed that they too are still improving," Woodworth said. "The boys team has locked up the No. 2 seed in the region tourney – and they’re anxious to show out in the state tournament."
No. 2 singles player Kody Dills and No. 1 Kody Dills doubles team of Jackson Roush and Forrester Terry won their matches.
The Trojans (9-8, 4-1) will face Chestatee on April 8.
