GAINESVILLE — Chestatee could not hold a late lead as Marist scored 10 runs over the final three innings to take an 11-2 victory in Region 7-4A action Thursday at Talon Field.
Chestatee (9-6, 2-3 Region 7-4A) led 2-1 after scoring two runs on a wild pitch and an error in the third inning. It stayed that until Marist (15-4, 6-1) scored five in the fifth and five unearned runs in the seventh to blow the game open.
Robbie James, Caleb Carter, and Benson Miller each had two hits and Nathan Bull had one hit for Chestatee.

The Titans scored in every inning but the third to take a Region 7-4A victory over the Warriors Thursday in Cleveland.
Blessed Trinity (16-3, 5-0 Region 7-4A) led 2-0 after the second inning before the Warriors (7-9, 3-4) scored a run in the third on an RBI hit by J Ben Haynes.
But the Titans scored single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth before putting the game out of reach with three in the seventh.
Sawyer Loggins and Evan Chambers each had two hits and Austin Payne, Jared Johnson, and Jake Johnson all had one hit for the Warriors.
