Posted 10:30PM on Tuesday 19th March 2019 ( 5 years ago )

Four people are behind bars after a police chase that started in Lumpkin County and ended in Hall County Tuesday.

Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office Lt. Alan Roach said the chase started when a deputy attempted to pull over Samantha Woody for a traffic stop. The deputy said Woody sped away and officers gave chase.

Roach said Woody led deputies into north Hall County where she lost control of her vehicle and crashed on Cool Springs Road. After the crash, Woody and three occupants of the vehicle - Brandon Flanagan, Herman Dover and John Rodgers II - ran from the scene. All were quickly captured, according to Roach, two with the help of a K-9 officer.

All four suspects have been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Woody faces addition traffic charges, according to Roach.
