A 19-year-old Murrayville man has been arrested for firing a shotgun into the ground several times in a North Hall County neighborhood.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Charles Robert Pinson was arrested Thursday on a reckless conduct charge at his home on Mount Vernon Preserve Court.

Lt. Scott Ware said the incident unfolded around 2 p.m.

"A female caller contacted Hall County Central Communications (911) to report that Mr. Pinson was speeding, driving recklessly and littering," Ware wrote in a press statement. "The caller followed Pinson from a location in the 5200 block of Mount Vernon Road all the way to his home."

Once the two arrived at the home, Pinson got out of his truck, went into his house and returned with a shotgun, which he fired into the ground several times, according to Ware.

"The caller left his residence, only to return a short time later to attempt to ascertain the address," Ware said. "Pinson fired another round from the shotgun upon her return."

Ware said no one was injured and no property was damaged.
