FLOWERY BRANCH – The Flowery Branch boys and girls tennis teams lost a close Region 7-4A battle, 3-2, to Blessed Trinity Wednesday afternoon at home.
On the boys side, Drayton Matus defeated Justin Zimmer, 6-3, 6-1 and doubles team Mauricio Castro and Nate Shedd beat Luca Cella and Trent Dumon in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 12-10.
In girls action, Alyssa McSpadden knocked off Lenee Linder in singles action, 6-1, 6-1, and Olivia Nance shut out Olivia Ethridge, 6-0, 6-0.
The Lady Falcons fell to 8-4 overal and 2-1 in region play.
Flowery Branch will travel to White County Tuesday.
