Soccer: Vikings take down Bluff, 7-1; Girls lose

RABBITTOWN – The East Hall boys soccer team is on a roll.

Sergio Turcios, Maury Ibarra and Danny Velasquez combined for seven goals to lead Class 3A's third-ranked Vikings (6-1-1, 1-0) past Cherokee Bluff, 7-1, Wednesday at East Hall Stadium.

Turcios scored four goals and had one assist, Ibarra scored two goals and had two assists and Velasquez had one goal.  Angel Mejia and Giovanni Aviles had one assist each and Daniel Carrillo had five saves in goal on the night and 1 assist.

In girls action, the Lady Vikings fell to Cherokee Bluff, 5-2.  Denci Murillo and Carolina Sesmas each scored one goal. Kaia Rice had 5 saves in goal on the night.
 
Both teams host Franklin County Friday. Girls start at 5:30, with the boys to follow.
