Soccer: Turcios leads Vikings past Union; Lady Vikings lose

RABBITTOWN – Sergio Turcios scored two goals to lead Class 3A No. 2-ranked East Hall boys soccer team past Union County, 3-1, at East Hall Stadium Wednesday night.

 

Maury Ibarra booted one goal for the Vikings (5-1-1) and Daniel Carrillo had 3 saves in goal on the night.

 

In girls action, the Lady Vikings struggled offensively against Union County, falling, 5-1.

 

Rosa Montes scored the lone goal on a penalty kick. Kaia Rice had 12 saves in goal on the night and Makelvia Holder had 1 save.

 

Both teams will be back in action on Friday at Pickens County with the girls match starting at 7 p.m. The boys will follow.
