FLOWERY BRANCH — The Flowery Branch boys tennis team blanked Lumpkin County Tuesday at home.
The Falcons dominated the singles action losing just one game. Drayton Matus beat Laken Ferrell 6-0. 6-1 at No. 1, Jack Thomas beat Tyler Shott 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, and Gunnar Hetzel beat Chris Welch 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The No. 1 oubles team of Matthew Helms and Caden Caldwell beat Lumpkin's Kyle Trammell and Seb Hunsinger 6-0, 6-0 and the No. 2 team doubles team of Nathan Shedd and Mauricio Castro held off Chris Reed and Caleb Jannes 7-6, 6-1.
